| | For a while, I was getting my daily dose of humor off textsfromlastnight.com, but I had to stop that because funny as it was, it was also highly detrimental to my self-esteem and making me paranoid of all men, neither of which are problems I need to exacerbate. Now I get my LOLZ from reading the personals on Craigs List, where nearly every post repairs my self esteem. Like this one.
"hey whats up im tim and im looking for somone to hang out with today. i have lived hear in minnesota for a month know and realy havent met anyone. i am a realy nice sweet guy and love to cuddle and be held. what ever hapen hapens and i am also single and have been for 8 months. this is a real add it is raining outside and it is 4:34 pm."
It takes EFFORT to be that grammatically incorrect. I'm pretty sure all the words he did spell correctly were by accident, or maybe he copied & pasted them from the internet when he was so clueless about how to write something that he had to Google it until he got a spelling suggestion. For example, "single" is a pretty tricky word! Six whole letters and a silent e, plus how did he know for sure it didn't start with a silent C?" (Sorry. Was that mean?)
On the other end of the spectrum, here is Super Classy Guy! (inexplicably posting in the platonic section; perhaps he doesn't understand what the word means)
"I am looking for a nice girl to have anal sex with in my car or her's after we've had some ice cream. hit me back."
Dude, totally. It's such a tantalizing offer, I don't know how any girl could turn you down.
God, I could do this for HOURS. I know there's a "best of CraigsList" and all, but frankly I am having fun just with everything that's offered and updated on a continual basis. Every post! Every single post offers endless wells of amusement potential! About 1 in every 100 sounds passable, and another 5 or so are less laughable than just sort of sad and make you feel sorry for them, but the remaining 90+% are just GREAT, GREAT FUN.
To think, there was a time when I only trolled CL for garage sale listings. Now it's better than eBay.
...what. I have time to kill before the fireworks start and no books to read or TV to watch.
